Slideout rangehoods are installed into a wall unit. To operate them, the slideout section is pulled out, enlarging the extraction surface. With many rangehoods of this type, the pelmet front can even be matched to your kitchen units. So this rangehood will be almost invisible in your kitchen.

To make sure that our ranghoods are really rust-proof, we spray them with a fine brine mist for 24 hours. If they survive that, we heat dodecanoic acid under the hoods – to the point that clouds of smoke are produced. If the thick smoke clears in a short time to leave pure, clean air, the rangehood can really claim to be "Bosch in every detail", and you can safely take it home with you.
Direct cooktop to rangehood connectivity for convenient control.
Cooking is more convenient when your appliances can directly communicate. Connected via wireless module, your hood automatically turns on when the cooktop is switched on – perfect if you often find yourself forgetting to turn it on until odours start filling the kitchen. Power levels and lighting on your hood can also be controlled via the cooktop, without the need for a wi-fi network.

The Strong and Silent Type
We bought this rangehood in April 2020 during lockdown. I had not planned to buy a new unit until I realized that one of the fans in the old one was not working at all. If you have an existing rangehood in place and a cupboard above that is either 600mm or 900mm then you can do this installation yourself. Just note that it works best underneath a 600mm cupboard. If you have a 900mm cupboard then you either need an adaptor of some sort to make it all work. Not too hard to arrange. Most of the unit is inside the cupboard above with a very low profile on the outside. I especially like that you can retract the hood when you are not using it which helps hide things away. This also keeps the kitchen looking tidier. There are two LED lights at the back which are very good and quite bright but don鈥檛 use a lot of power. When the unit is running, it is the strong and silent type. Whisper quiet and yet a lot of airflow. When we first turned it on, we almost through it wasn鈥檛 working properly as the old unit had made so much noise. Months after installing it there is barely a spot of grease to be seen on the outside. There are four fan settings, when you turn the unit on it defaults to number 2. If you run the unit at full force on setting number 4, after 7mins it will turn itself down. A good safety feature which also helps to increase the longevity of the unit. Maintenance is also easy. On the last weekend of each month we remove the filters and pop them into the dishwasher for cleaning. That鈥檚 really all that you have to do. No messing around with harsh chemical for cleaning. All up, we are very glad that we spent the extra money and got a Bosch. Would definitely recommend. We are now planning to replace our cook top in the near future, also with a Bosch.
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!
Could not be happier with our new rangehood! No more condensation dripping on the stove, and I'm only using the low setting. I can see everything with the lighting. It's so quiet and it fits so neatly you wouldn't know it was there. I'm a happy Dad cook!!
Installation pull out extractor
In installing a DFS067A50A I found the product to have excellent install features and instructions. The install was a breeze and I am very pleased with the result. Subsequently I was also impressed by the low noise and lack of any vibration from the running motor. Previuos extractor made the kitchen wall vibrate whereas the Bosch runs smoothly and quietly.
